Based in the West Central* neighbourhood, Art from the Heart is an organization committed to supporting low-income artists practising in Winnipeg’s core communities. Since our inception in 2000, our central focus has been the mounting of an annual exhibition and sale of artwork created by low-income artists and craftspeople.

Over the years, as our capacity has grown, we have undertaken other related projects including Art from the Neighbourhood weekend art classes for neighbourhood residents (2003-04), an artist-in-residency project in collaboration with the West Central Women’s Resource Centre (2006), and this new website featuring a gallery of artists’ work (2006).
